Welcome! We’re Jim Ervin and Dick Ries, the guys in the red Hawaiian shirts who will be your tour guides. In 2016, we decided to take a leap of faith after a friend asked us to bring our spirit of adventure here to their city of Sandusky. We left our central Ohio home, planted our dreams in Sandusky, and now share them with you, our guests.
Sandusky Segwave, our first tour company, was forced to relocate from our original location and we decided to embrace the opportunity to improve and expand our business model to use a bus to share the joys of the region with our guests. Everyone can ride the bus—it’s fully ADA compliant for those with mobility considerations. This change has also allowed us to offer a longer seasons with more tour options, including recreational, educational, and historic tours.

Having been in the tourism industry for many years, we enjoy hosting guests from all over the world and want you to have a fun and safe adventure. We prepare extensively for our tours so that we can bring you both accurate information and a new perspective as we delight you with the points of interest that highlight the Firelands region’s splendor. We are proud of our area and think you will be fascinated by what you discover.
We have built lasting relationships through the years with the area’s many tourism organizations. One of the most cherished is with our advocate and advertising partner, Shores & Islands Ohio. In 2019, Shores & Islands Ohio chose us for their Partner of the Year Award. We have also earned TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence award 4 Years in a row. We also work closely with many local organizations with fundraising efforts for our communities.
